Rancho Bungalow is located in northern Wise County just south of the town of Decatur. We have 20 beautiful acres of grass and trees that butts up next to the East fork of the Trinity River.
Our herd of Nubian, Alpines and Recorded Grades are fed on free choice alfalfa, plenty of grasses in the fields and 16% dairy feed for milkers. Since we use the milk on a daily bases we are careful to be sure the animals remain healthy and the milk is free of any antibiotics etc.
Our goal is to breed dairy goats that have strong mammary systems that will be capable of many years of consistent milk production, with excellent body type and characteristics. We are 3 years into our breeding program and are excited about the direction we are going.  Even though our main focus is on showing we still feel animals should have a high production of milk as well. We have not been on DHIR for a few years but plan on starting again this next year. We do have barn records to show for the animals we have for sale.

Our History
Rancho Bungalow came into being in the year 2000 when Allan and I got married. I moved from the Madison Wisconsin area with my herd, Pan Satyr Farm, to Texas in January of 2000. Allan made room on his ranch, the C bar C, for me and my goats and a partnership was formed. Unfortunately in November of that year we had a disaster. While we were out of town the ranch house burned down. The fire departments were able to contain the fire to just the house but we were not able to salvage anything. Thanks to the work of the fire departments we still had our 300 bales of hay and all our livestock. We will always be very grateful to those men who saved the trees, hay and barn.

As Allan and I rebuilt our lives it was decided a new ranch name was needed with our new beginning. So Rancho Bungalow became the official name for the ranch and the herd that would be raised here.

While we primarily have goats right now we do plan to add horses and cattle back onto the land when we are able.
